Visit of the CEO of Chinese ECE company and the chairman of the board of Tose’e Payam Asia from Payam Special Economic Zone; practical steps for developing cooperation in the field of lithium batteries
Dr. Wong, CEO of ECE China and professor at Guangzhou University, along with Mr. Shariatmadari, chairman of the board of Tose’e Payam Asia, visited the Payam Special Economic Zone. The technical and commercial teams of both companies accompanied the senior managers during this visit
The visiting delegation met with Dr. Hamidi. He is the respected deputy of the Payam Special Economic Zone. A discussion was held during this meeting
Purpose of the visit and discussions
The main goal was to examine investment opportunities. They discussed joint cooperation in the Payam area. The main focus was on lithium batteries.
The deputy of Payam area introduced the capabilities and advantages of the zone. He explained these aspects to the Chinese delegation and Tose’e Payam Asia. Dr. Hamidi spoke about the investment attraction facilities.
Dr. Wong and Mr. Shariatmadari saw the potential of the Payam area positively. They believe this zone can become a hub for lithium battery technology.
Next steps
They discussed setting up production or assembly lines for batteries. The development of joint research and development in the Payam area was also examined.
Tose’e Payam Asia and ECE China see a bright future for cooperation. They aim to develop the battery industry in Iran. The officials of the Payam area also support this vision. This cooperation helps the transfer of technology and growth of domestic production.
Also, Dr. Hamidi explained about the facilities and the position provided in the Payam Special Economic Zone, and described the unique and special conditions created for the cooperation of Iranian companies with foreign companies. Then, Mr. Shariatmadari, considering the potential and the existing infrastructures in the area, thanked for the good cooperation and management of the Payam Special Economic Zone, and expressed hope that, in addition to enhancing international cooperation, they could make the best use of the new opportunities and infrastructure created in the country.
